Would be a while I am sure. If we follow Tesla's path, Tesla started in 2003 and went IPO in 2010. If you bought Tesla during the IPO you would have got in at about $17 a share. Could have made some nice gains today. 
Would love to buy up some Rivian myself, maybe they get to IPO faster.

Sometime in 2008 with the Roadster. Was only a handful of them. Model S came out in 2012.
