I’m looking for advice from people who regularly use workshop manuals for vehicle or equipment repairs. What do you consider the most important features in a good manual?

I’ve found that some manuals provide plenty of general information but lack detailed diagrams, troubleshooting procedures, torque specifications, or clear step-by-step instructions.

Others can be difficult to navigate or may not cover specific model years accurately.

Do you prefer manufacturer manuals, aftermarket manuals, or digital workshop manuals?

Also, how do you verify that a manual is reliable and matches your exact model and engine? I’d appreciate recommendations and experiences.
